The world of Archeology: Dendrochronology

(Picture by my guide, "Me and trees roots at Pra Khan temple")

Good afternoon! I got to said that today's class was full of exitement as usual. We review the last lesson's topic before we started today's lesson. I learned about archaeological dating and a little bit of Art History. Now it's to writing again, everyone will get four topics and we have to pick only one topic to write on the blog. I chose topic about how archaeologists study and analyze date of an ancient objects that made from wood by its tree-ring or formally known as Dendrochronology. Let's starting writing.

Topics
Radio-carbon Dating
Tree-ring Dating / Dendrochronology Potassium Argon Dating Stratigraphy
If we think about the age of trees there're so many of them that live longer than us. Some trees even older than our ancestor. According to the slides from the lesson, it said that tree-ring dating or Dendrochronology is one of the most exaxt way to date the ancient object that made from wood.
I researched for the tree-ring dating a little bit, and what I got is it works 2 ways. First is how does it work on Science way and second is how does it work on Archaeology. In Science, the scientists will dating trees straight on truck because it tells them from its growth. In Archaeology, they not study only on the truck but mostly they will study on the wooden artifacts such as wooden bridge, wooden gate, or barque, etc.

Summary, I have to said that these topic is hard and it took time for me to understand so my today's blog might go not as good as you expect and so do I, plus my university work and homework are unstopable increasing, "It come like a tsunami." I always said. Basically, you will know that Tree-ring dating are the study age of wood or date of an actifacts in Archaeology way, which it is important that how do we know the age of an object.

I hope you will get something from today's post more or less. I have go now, thank you for today and see you in the next post.
