(Pictured by my guide, "Me at Prasat Ta Prohm")

Hi there! Long time no see since wrote the last post about Vishnu's Avatar. Today I came with an excited topic, it's been one year passed since visited Angor wat in Cambodia. I have to write for work again however, this is the topic that I can talk more about it with a story. As you knew I visited Cambodia last year on 18-19 May 2019. I wrote a field note so that why I can remember everythings well and I tell you all I saw in Angor wat. Today's topic is about travelling with a details of Arts History so let's get start it!

On Friday 17 May 2019, I emplaned to Bangkok and stayed one night at the hotel before we took a flight to Cambodia. I went there with my mom because she used to visited there once many years ago. The next day I had a moring flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. We met our private guide, she has a small body and pretty, and her Thai name is Noi (because she's small). First place that I visited was Angkor Wat. It was extensive and humid because I went there on half rainy half summer of the year, nevertheless, Angkor Wat still impressive during the low season time.

So now I'm going to tell you about the topic, teacher let us choose one of the most popular attraction in Cambodia. they can be stone palace like Angkor Wat or any places that significant about Arts History and I chose my favourite palace in Angkor Wat, "Ta Prohm palace" or "Prasat Ta Prohm". If you have seen Tomb Raider (2001), you will notice that Ta Prohm was a location that it took palce in Angkor wat. The way it is my favourite is abit out of the topic, I like it because it made me felt like I was in Maya or Incas temple, with all giant tree roots covering all of Ta Prohm. Plus, I quite a big fan of adventure games like Uncharted and of course Tomb Raider.

Ta Prohm have a significant sign of how religion had changed during that time. When the new king took the throne, if the king was a Hindurism your highness will replaced all of architectures to his highness religion, which Ta Prohm was one of them. Ta Prohm's architecture and Arts was originally Buddhism but when the time of the next king, it was ordered to destroy. The time had passed, the more it the palace would be decadent becaues of trees that keep growing until their roots covered the palace and about to collapsed. Somehow, Cambodia government still keep this archaeological site and reconstruct it for the next generations and tourists.

That's it for today, I hope you will enjoy my survey in Cambodia. Next week, I have midterm exams and I have to study hard on it. I still have homework from anoher subject to finish. See you again at the next journey. Bye! ;)
